Standards and best practices
The key early childhood topics presented in these pamphlets are based on national Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) standards. The pamphlets teach issues at age appropriate times within the eight selected age ranges. Topics include:
- Reading readiness
- Childhood obesity prevention
- Food and nutrition — based on the current USDA guidelines
