Co-Op pricing

Q: What is Co-Op pricing?
A: For a limited time we collect and bundle orders so that the cost of printing is reduced and the savings are returned to those participating in the Co-Op.

Co-Op timing

Q: When are the Co-Ops?
A: Generally, we have two Co-Ops a year — one in the Spring and another in the Fall.

The Spring 2012 Co-Op is open from February 13 to March 23, with pamphlets delivering in early May. The Fall Co-Op dates are tentatively set to August 13 to September 21.

Payment options

Q: What types of payment are accepted?
A: We accept checks payable to Crabtree + Company, or Visa or Mastercard. Payments by credit card incur an additional 4% processing service charge by the credit card company that is applied to the total order amount.

Placing an order

Q: How do I place a Co-Op order?
A: To place an order, please complete and email, fax, or mail a Help Me Be Healthy Co-Op Order Form. We require your order quantities, billing and shipping address(es), your signature (with payment method indicated) and a purchase order number. We will confirm order receipt, and your organization will be invoiced shortly before delivery. Payment is due upon receipt of pamphlets.

Q: Is a purchase order number required?
A: Orders with a total value under $2,500 are accepted with a signed order form. Orders of $2,500 or more, must either be prepaid, or placed with a valid purchase order number.

Ordering outside of a Co-Op

Q: Is it possible to order the pamphlets when there is not a Co-Op?
A: Unless your order is significantly large, it is most cost-effective to order during a Co-Op. Orders can be placed outside of a Co-Op, but printing costs vary, depending on quantities ordered. During a Co-Op, every participant pays the same price per pamphlet, regardless of order size.

Occasionally, we have limited quantities of various pamphlets available for immediate delivery. Call 1.888.531.9001 x102 or email info@helpmebehealthy.net for pamphlet availability, an order form, or to request a printing estimate.

Food Guide Pyramid

Q: Do the pamphlets contain information on the current Food Guide Pyramid?
A: Yes. The pamphlets have been updated to reflect the current guidelines under the USDA MyPyramid program for appropriate age groups. Pamphlets also reflect federally-mandated revisions to the WIC Food Packages.

WIC Food Package Eligible Foods

Q: Where can I find a list of WIC approved foods?
A: Please visit the FNS website for a complete list: http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/benefitsandservices/foodpkgregs.htm.

National child initiatives

Q: Do these pamphlets address current national child-focused initiatives?
A: Yes. The pamphlets address two current major initiatives: Childhood obesity prevention and reading readiness.

Civil Rights statement

Q: Do the brochures contain the current Civil Rights statement?
A: Yes, the Civil Rights nondiscrimination statement is included in both Spanish and English of all Mother's, Infant's and Children's brochures.

Oral hygiene

Q: Do the pamphlets provide oral health guidance?
A: Yes. The Infant and Child series both address oral hygiene care for children.

English/Spanish

Q: Do I need to order packs of both the English and the Spanish version of the pamphlets?
A: No. Order only the languages you need.

Other languages

Q: Are the booklets available in any languages other than English and Spanish?
A: Not at this time. However we can have them translated into any language you wish. For a sufficiently large order, we will waive the translation fee altogether. Call toll-free 1.888.531.9001 for details.

Minimum order

Q: Do I have to order all pamphlets in a series or can I order just those age groups I need?
A: Order only those pamphlets you need. While the pamphlets are meant to form a continuum of information on healthy eating and child development, we realize different demographics have different requirements.

Shipping and handling

Q: What is the price for shipping?
A: The cost for shipping and handling is based on number of pamphlets ordered. The price is $30 per 1,000 (and up to) pamphlets ordered within the contiguous U.S. We can also use your UPS or FedEx number if you prefer. If you need a shipment outside the contiguous U.S., please contact us directly for a shipping estimate.

Storage and fulfillment

Q: There isn't much storage space in our offices. Is it possible for you to store the pamphlets and mail them to us as we need them?
A: Yes, storage and fulfillment is available for a monthly fee. Call 1.888.531.9001 for more information.

Long-term use

Q: Do caregivers use these materials at home?
A: Yes. The nutritionist fills out the personalized information about the child or infant on the front of the child and infant series pamphlets, and encourages the caregiver to keep the pamphlet on the refrigerator and bring it along on the next trip to the WIC office.
